What is a Gaming Backlog?
A gaming backlog is basically also those games you buy, saying you’re going to get around to them “eventually,” but never quite do. The games picked up during all those Spring and Summer Steam sales. The ones given during the holidays that you never quite have time for.
What is the goal?
Into The Backlog has a simple goal. I wanted a place where I could go exploring all those games, purchased but never played. With this, I wanted to provide my thoughts on the titles as someone just playing them for the first time. Not as a deep diver or a super analytical person. Just someone that likes talking about games!
Rating Scale
-
A genre-defining masterpiece, essential for any gamer.
-
Great with minor flaws, worth playing for most.
-
Average or niche, depends on taste.
-
Disappointing with significant issues, only for diehards.
-
Poor quality, major flaws, not worth the time.
-
Utterly broken, offensive, or a complete waste—games that feel like a betrayal. Example: A hypothetical retro shovelware title with unplayable controls, no coherent design, and crashes that brick your console.
